This network visualizes the web of professional connections between Deaf academics from around the world. Each node represents one of the Deaf scholars featured on Academia Unusualverse, spanning 24 countries. Node size reflects the number of connections: larger nodes are more densely linked within this community. Color indicates the scholar's primary field. Click any node to explore their connections, or use the field filter and the search box to focus on a specific area or person.
Connections were mapped by reading each scholar's profile and identifying explicit relationships mentioned in the text — PhD supervision, co-authorship, co-editorship, formal PhD examination — as well as shared institutional affiliations. Only relationships between scholars already featured on this site are shown; many more connections exist with colleagues and researchers not yet profiled here.
This is a living resource. As new scholars are added to Academia Unusualverse, the network will grow and new connections will emerge. If you know of a relationship that should be reflected here — a supervision, a collaboration, a co-authorship — you are welcome to suggest a correction or addition.
